Opposites Attract

Last week's red and blue has evolved into a blue and orange thing.  Something about these two gazing at one another longingly across the color wheel has us intrigued...

White, Red and Blue

Last year we turned a Zara womens top into a dress because we couldn't find a dress that was quite what we were looking for.  Well, we're still wearing that dress and now Zara kids offers an identical version...we should have waited a year, the womens blouse cost more than the kids dress (and required manual labor to take in the sides!)!  Really though, this week we were just looking for a blank canvas for the vintage blue and red necklace.  Mission accomplished!

Monday's skirt is today's top...sort of.  Same fabric anyway.  We have a new found appreciation for the matching skirt and top.  Together they have the ease of a dress but with the added versatility to also wear them separately.  Conclusion...we need more matching skirt/tops, short/tops, pant/tops etc, etc, etc.  Not easily found....the hunt begins!

Our inspiration this week is simple...red, white and blue!

On the Straight and Narrow

This is the perfect summer dress.  Knit for comfort and ease of fit but with just enough attention to detail to keep things interesting.  Navy and white stripes are considered a neutral in our book so added bonus...you can wear this with pretty much anything!
